In our Tuesday Bible Study, we are going deep into the book of Genesis with a study called, “Blurry Verses.” We tend to zoom past these verses, because we know them by heart. So, we are slowing way down and focusing in on the details. To see the PowerPoint slides from this series, you can find the images below (click to enlarge).

For Carol: Great question about the dates of the Ancient Near Eastern civilizations around Israel. What I could find was that the Sumerians began around 5500 BC and ended about 1500 BC; the Babylonian period went from around 2000 BC to 540 BC; and the Egyptian Dynastic period was from about 3150 BC to 30 BC. Hope that helps! :)
