In our Tuesday Bible Study, we are going deep into the book of Genesis with a study called, “Blurry Verses.” We tend to zoom past these verses, because we know them by heart. For Carol: Great question about the dates of the Ancient Near Eastern civilizations around Israel. What I could find was that the Sumerians began around 5500 BC and ended about 1500 BC; the Babylonian period went from around 2000 BC to 540 BC; and the Egyptian Dynastic period was from about 3150 BC to 30 BC. Hope that helps! :)
